DOGS TRAVELING TO ORD FROM HIGH-RISK RABIES COUNTRIES
Does Your Dog Need a Reservation?

No reservation is required if your dog meets all of the following CDC entry requirements:
  • At least 6 months old
  • Has a valid U.S.-issued rabies vaccination certificate
  • Microchipped with an ISO-compliant chip
  • Appears healthy upon arrival
If your dog does not meet one or more of these requirements and is arriving at the Chicago Port of Entry from a high-risk rabies country, a reservation with Oasis Kennel of Chicago is required.

In that case, we will arrange secure transport from the airport to our facility, where your dog will receive a full USDA veterinary exam and rabies vaccination. If necessary, your pet will also complete the CDC-mandated 28-day quarantine on-site.

Veterinary exams are conducted Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
To avoid additional boarding fees, we strongly recommend scheduling your pet’s arrival Monday through Thursday.
